Terms of Service

Last updated 2 October 2026

In short

  • InflowBooks keeps your masjid's records. It is not a payment app.
  • Donations go straight to your masjid. We never hold that money.
  • Your masjid pays ZikkLabs, the maker of InflowBooks, for a plan. The plan runs for a fixed time, like one year or two years.
  • The plan does not renew by itself. You pay again when you want to continue.
  • If you do not renew, your records are kept for 6 months so you can come back to them.
  • Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what your committee records.

This box is only a summary. The full terms are below.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of InflowBooks (the "Service"), operated by ZikkLabs, a sole proprietorship based in Kerala, India ("ZikkLabs", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What InflowBooks is, and is not

InflowBooks is a record-keeping and management tool that helps a masjid track members, subscriptions, campaigns and the donations it receives, and produce receipts and reports.

InflowBooks is not a payment gateway, payment aggregator, payment processor or money services business. It does not collect, hold, transfer, settle or refund any funds. Any UPI ID or bank details shown on a masjid's page belong to that masjid and are displayed for convenience only. All donations and payments happen directly between the donor and the masjid, outside the Service. Payment entries in the Service are bookkeeping records that a committee enters for money already received. Member subscriptions, donations and other payments recorded in the Service are paid to the masjid, not to ZikkLabs.

Accounts and eligibility

  • Accounts are intended for authorised committee members of a masjid.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account.
  • Sign-in details are for authorised committee members only and must not be passed to anyone else.
  • One subscription covers one masjid account. Another organisation's records must not be kept in the same account.
  • The account and its records belong to the masjid, not to the person who signed up. A change of committee or of office bearers does not end the subscription, and the incoming committee is bound by the same terms. Tell us when office bearers change so we can update who has access.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Fees and price changes

Access to the Service may require a subscription or other fee, which will be communicated to you before you subscribe. Subscription fees for the Service are paid to and billed by ZikkLabs. A subscription is for a fixed term (for example, one or two years) and the fee for that term is the fee shown to you at the time you subscribe or renew for that term.

Renewal is not automatic. We are not a payment gateway, do not store your payment details, and do not charge you automatically. To continue using the Service after a term ends, you renew it yourself by paying for the next term.

If a subscription is not renewed in time, there is a short grace period during which the Service keeps working normally. After that the account becomes read only until you renew: you can still see your records but cannot add to or change them. We do not delete your records because a renewal is late. You can renew and carry on with everything intact for up to 6 months after the term ends. Beyond that we may treat the subscription as ended, as described under Suspension and termination.

Any promotional offer, such as bonus months of service added to a paid term, a free trial, promotional rate, introductory price, discount or waived fee, is temporary and applies only for the term or period stated. Bonus months form part of the term you paid for and carry no separate fee or refund value. When the term or period ends, renewing for a further term is at our then-current standard fee. We are under no obligation to repeat or extend any such offer.

We may change our fees from time to time, including the price charged on renewal. Any change to the fee for a term that has already been paid will not take effect until the next renewal. We will give you at least 30 days' advance notice of a price change before it applies to you, for example by WhatsApp, email or a notice within the Service. If you do not accept a new fee, you need not renew; renewing after a price change takes effect means you accept the new fee.

GST does not currently apply to our fees. If we register for GST, or a tax otherwise becomes applicable by law, that tax will be charged in addition to the fee and only from your next renewal onwards. Where a fee is collected through a third-party payment provider, that provider's terms also apply to the payment. Refunds and cancellation are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

A fee may be paid on a masjid's behalf by a third party, for example a member living away from home who sponsors the subscription. The masjid remains the account holder and the owner of its data. The payer acquires no right of access to the account, its logins or its records, and is not a party to these Terms except in relation to the payment itself. Renewal after a sponsored term remains the masjid's responsibility unless a further payment is made on its behalf.

No payment, whether made by the masjid or on its behalf, extends the masjid's paid coverage beyond three years from the date of payment, plus any bonus months of the plan chosen. A payment that would exceed this is not accepted.

Responsibilities of the masjid

  • You decide what member and donation data to record and are responsible for its accuracy.
  • You are responsible for obtaining any consent required before recording another person's details.
  • For the member and donation records you keep, you are the Data Fiduciary and we act as your Data Processor, handling that data only to provide the Service on your instructions. These are the terms used by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
  • Where a household record includes anyone under 18, you are responsible for obtaining the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian before those details are recorded. This applies equally to details a family head submits through a registration link. We never use a minor's data for advertising, profiling, tracking or behavioural monitoring.
  • We take routine backups of the platform, but they are overwritten on a regular cycle and are not a substitute for your own copy. Export your records periodically and keep them safely.
  • You are responsible for your own tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, including the lawful collection and use of donations and the issuing of any official receipts.
  • You must use the Service lawfully and only for the purpose of managing your masjid's records.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to:

  • access data belonging to another masjid or any account that is not yours;
  • disrupt, probe or reverse engineer the Service or its security;
  • upload unlawful content or use the Service to break any law.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, source code, design, brand and logo, remains our property or that of our licensors. While your subscription runs you have a limited licence to use the Service, and nothing more: it may not be copied, sold, rented, resold or reverse engineered. The data a masjid enters remains the masjid's. We use it only to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

Confidentiality

We keep your member details and donation records confidential. We do not pass them to anyone else, publish them, sell them or use them for advertising without your permission. The only exceptions are the infrastructure providers we need in order to run the Service, who are bound to the same confidentiality, and any disclosure the law requires of us. Those providers are listed in our Privacy Policy.

Support

We provide technical support by phone and WhatsApp on the number given to you, and by email at [email protected]. We normally reply to a request received on a working day within one working day, and take up requests received on a holiday on the next working day. Problems that stop the Service working altogether are prioritised and fixed as quickly as we can.

We do not guarantee fixed support hours; the response times above are what apply. If unforeseen circumstances mean support will be unavailable for an extended period, we will tell you as far in advance as we can, and let you know when normal service resumes.

Availability and maintenance

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error free. From time to time we may suspend the Service for updates or maintenance; where practical we will give advance notice of planned maintenance.

Force majeure

We are not responsible for any failure or delay in providing the Service caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These include natural disasters, power or internet failures, faults at our hosting, server or internet service providers, government or court orders, changes in law or regulation, internet shutdowns, restrictions imposed in India on the hosting or database services we use or on their IP addresses, and blocks applied at internet service provider level.

If a restriction of that kind arises, we may move to alternative hosting or database providers in order to keep the Service running, and we will tell you when we do.

Where an interruption of this kind continues for more than 7 days, we will extend your service period by the length of the interruption. Where it continues for more than 30 days, either of us may end the subscription, and we will refund the unused part of any period you have already paid for.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the liability.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, such as expected income not received or damage to reputation, or for any loss arising from donations, payments, tax or regulatory matters, which are solely between a donor, the masjid and the relevant authorities. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Service, the data you enter, or your breach of these Terms or of any applicable law.

Suspension and termination

Either of us may end the subscription by giving 30 days' notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.

If a term ends and is not renewed for more than 6 months, we may treat the subscription as ended, after giving you 30 days' notice first.

If these Terms are breached, we may end the subscription after allowing 15 days to put the breach right. Where there is serious misuse, such as unlawful use or an attempt to reach another masjid's data, we may suspend access immediately.

On termination you may request export of your data, subject to any retention required by law. Unless a longer period is required by law, your data is fully deleted from the Service 30 days after termination, so you should export anything you need within that period. Retention and deletion are described further in our Privacy Policy.

Notices

Notices under these Terms, including price changes, maintenance and termination, are treated as received when sent to the phone number (including WhatsApp) or email address you gave us, or when shown to you within the Service. Tell us if your contact details change.

Resolving disputes

If a dispute arises, both of us will first try to settle it amicably by talking it through. Legal proceedings should follow only if it has not been resolved within 30 days of one of us raising it in writing.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Kerala, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to applicable law.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders of material changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
